Massage, Bowen Technique and Reflexology

What happens during a massage?

Typically a full body massage lasts for an hour. Your body responds in two main ways. Firstly there’s a physical effect on your body: for example, reduced muscle stiffness or increased joint mobility. Then there are the psychological benefits: such as feelings of relaxation and well-being, an ideal antidote for today’s stressful lifestyle.

Bowen Technique

The Bowen Technique aims to balance the whole person, not just the symptoms. An appointment will take approximately 45 minutes. Four or five treatments, at weekly intervals are often sufficient to achieve lasting relief. The therapist uses thumbs or fingers to make a series of prcise, roling-type moves over muscle. During the treatment there are a series of short breaks where the patient is left resting to allow their body to respond to the gentle moves that have been made. These rest periods are important to allow re-balance and reduce tension and pain. This technique is suitable for all ages.

Kinesiology Truro

What is Kinesiology?

Kineiology uses an exact form of testing muscles to assess which therapies will benefit a person. Muscles are controlled by the central nervous system and this simple muscle test, tells the therapist about the state of balance of your nervous system. With this information we find out what therapies you need and apply them.
